Hello and welcome to the MC 2005 Spouse/Guest Program website! We cordially invite you to join us in Chattanooga, TN, April 17–21, 2005, and experience the hospitality and vitality of one of the South’s top tourist destinations.

Your hostesses for the week will be Nancy Hatmaker and Angie Alford. We anticipate an exciting Conference and have a number of entertaining activities planned for your visit to Chattanooga. We have designed an activities program tailored to cover a broad spectrum of interests. Hopefully, you will have an opportunity to participate in several of the events intended to ensure that your visit to Chattanooga is both enjoyable and memorable.

As a result of its $850 million riverfront downtown revitalization plan, today’s Chattanooga is a city rich in history, natural treasures, cultural arts, and entertainment with something to satisfy everyone. Whether a Civil War history buff, an art lover, an outdoorsman, a trendy shopper, a sports fan, or a discriminating diner, Chattanooga has something unique to offer its guests. We have chosen a few of those events and activities representative of Chattanooga to share with you. We hope through our MC 2005 Spouse/Guest Program that you experience a sampling of southern history, southern culture, and southern hospitality at its finest—and leave Chattanooga eager to visit again.

Registration for the Spouse/Guest Program entitles you to join us for breakfast each morning, Monday through Wednesday, at the Chattanooga Marriott, the new Chattanoogan Hotel, and the world-famous Chattanooga Choo Choo. Your registration will also cover the MC 2005 Reception at the Chattanooga Convention Center on Sunday evening with the Conference attendees.

You are welcome to register individually for any or all the events listed on our Spouse/Guest Program Event Menu. Simply click on the event of interest for details.

Please let us know if you have special menu needs, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you have questions or comments on the Spouse/Guest Program, do not hesitate to contact either of us—Nancy Hatmaker (hatmakerna@ornl.gov) at (865) 574-6179 or Angie Alford (alfordac@ornl.gov) at (865) 576-8805. We look forward to meeting you and sharing what will, hopefully, be a pleasant and memorable visit to one of the South’s most pleasant and memorable cities.

See you in April!

Nancy and Angie
